We stayed for the weekend at Gleneagles at the end of our honeymoon in Scotland. We had a wonderful stay and found all of the staff to be very helpful. We had a room upgrade and champagne on arrival which made a lovely touch. We had an afternoon fly fishing on our own with a Ghillie which was great fun... more

I was lucky enough to be staying at the hotel on business but was a bit worried that as I don't play golf, I may be bored. This was not a problem at all. The hotel has a wide variety of activities on site, the falconry and gundog school are excellent and if you are interested in that sort of... more

My wife and I were given a voucher for Sunday lunch for 2 as a gift, and I am glad that we didn't have to pay! ~We went on our anniversary to the Strahtearn Restaurant in April 2008, and it was pretty quiet, half empty, so the atmosphere was that of an old folks' home. Food was good, apart from... more

As four Pisceans, we chose to celebrate this year's joint birthdays at Gleneagles. Our rooms were beautifully decorated, very spacious and with lovely views over the front entrance. The recently opened Spa was a spectacular high light, as was the clay pigeon shooting, which was more fun than any of us could have imagined. All four thought our main dinner... more

My partner and I stayed at Gleneagles for a couple of nights over the Easter weekend. What a fantastic place!! Yes it’s very expensive but for a treat is worth every penny. The hotel is completely unpretentious. The staff are professional and courteous but not too formal - friendly and chatty and happy to have a laugh. The entrance is... more

Stayed here for 1 night during the trip from Edinburgh to Loch Lomond. The only thing that I can say - this is a very specific hotel for a very specific category of tourists. If you need old-style luxury, like golf (or, for example, shooting or fishing) and have a budget which allows you to pay over 600 EURO a... more

I was travelling with my partner and two of our friends and we'd booked a luxury short break that included one of the following for each guest (including dinner in the evening) * 1 round of golf on either the PGA Centenary, King’s or Queen’s Courses * 1 hour lesson at The Golf Academy, including a DVD or CD-Rom of... more

We booked a night in Gleneagles as a special treat as part of our honeymoon in the Highlands. Over the past few weeks we have stayed in a number of hotels ranging from 3* to 5* and to be honest Gelneagles wasn't my favourire, considering the price we paid!! We stayed in an Estate room which was nice, but i... more

We have just returned from a week at Gleneagles. We stayed in a three bedroom lodge in the Glenmor Village on the hotel grounds. This is truly a fantastic experience if you are with a family or friends, and generally much cheaper than staying in the hotel. There are 2/3 and 4 bedroom lodges available ( all have sofas which... more

We stayed for a weekend at Gleneagles recently as part of a family celebration, mainly becasue we were keen to have dinner at Andrew Fairlie. And dinner there was the only highlight of this otherwise appalling stay. The rooms are very tired and poorly equipped - for £350 a night I expect somewhere to plug in a hairdryer that is... more
