One of the most comfortable rooms I have ever stayed in ... and very welcome after a long day driving on beautiful but demanding roads. Good value considering remoteness. We had three wonderful nights at this suberb hotel in a far distant corner of Scotland. Mackays is an excellent boutique style small hotel in Durness. Don't be put off when you first arrive, the exterior may not look promising (a bit grey with a oddish looking conservatory). However step inside and you'll find luxury and comfort.
