Ben Bhraggie Hotel, Golspie.
A hard village hotel to find due to virtually no internet presence, but well worth the effort in the end. A small village Inn-Hotel with a friendly service and good home cooking. We had driven for 7 hours to reach here for a weekend of mountain biking on the Golspie trails. The hotel is clean and the staff (Dez) very friendly. In fact the 2 bar maids were so smiley that I was sure we had met somewhere previously. But we were all wearing cycling lycra so that may have had something to do with it !
The rooms were adequate, just big enough for all our cycling gear. We’ve been several times and the bigger family room is better as its far more space than the twins we had. There’s no en-suite but that doesn’t bother us. As a group of 40-something blokes, I am glad we don’t have en-suits !! Especially due to one members love of real ale and curry.
