Stopped at the Kylesku Hotel for lunch on a miserable wet and windy day. The view across the water was still impressive. The restaurant was pretty well full but we managed to get a table fairly quickly. The lunchtime menu was impressive and the langoustines and lobster tails we had for ate were the best I have ever tasted. more

Spent one night here recently whilst touring the area. Absolutely fabulous location right on Loch Glendhu which is great for spotting seals and various seabirds. This is a really peaceful location. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Service in the restaurant (and bar) was excellent. The room was on the small side but very clean and with a good view of the loch. The view over the loch is truly beautiful and the peaceful setting is what a trip to the highlands is all about. The couple who run the Hotel are friendly and welcoming and serve some decent food. Not having booked, the only vacannt room was up a steep flight of stairs and with a shared bathroom so we stayed elsewhere but, regrettably ate in the restaurant. We stayed at the Kylesku just for the one night unfortunately - we had the most lovely stay and the most delicious dinner. The staff are all friendly and helpful and although the rooms aren't massive they are spotlessly clean and tidy and had everything that we needed including a fantastic view out onto the Loch. The Kylesku is delightful. Rooms are fairly basic, but views are wonderful, food was great, and it's probably the friendliest hotel I've ever stayed in. more
