Our room had a door to nowhere in it which scared me if I'm honest. The bed was very squeaky and the sound proofing between rooms was terrible. The service and the food in the pub were great though. More

Just back from our 7th stay, great place to stay. The rooms are spotless, the food is excellent, ales are superb what more would you want? The owners are constantly trying to upgrade this perfect little hotel, this year they are upgrading the beds in the rooms, the bathrooms were refurbed in recent years and are still in excellent condition.... Stayed for one night on our way back from the Orkneys. Room very spacious, excellent heated towel rail dryed our wet bike gear. Decor does look a little dated, but have everything a traveller needs for a good nights stay i.e. comfortable bed, warm shower etc, and we didn't go to look at the wall paper.
