We arrived on Friday Dec 30th in late afternoon and welcomed by Jay who showed us our room. Good size room, good bed and a spotless bathroom. Although we visited with family in the village we also spent a bit of time in the Hotel. Our hosts, Steve and Alan Crossland, were most helpful and friendly and nothing was too... More

We have just visited our friend in Scotland who is local to the Benleva and regular frequenter of the pub. Having never visited Scotland before but only being limited to a day and a half this time round, we wanted to soak up as much as possible of the local culture. We arrived late in the evening after a bumpy... More

Our room had a door to nowhere in it which scared me if I'm honest. The bed was very squeaky and the sound proofing between rooms was terrible. The service and the food in the pub were great though. More

What a wonderful find we had on our recent trip north. The en suite room was exceptionally clean ,warm and welcoming. The evening meal in the restaurant was food from the gods, excellent wine to accompany it.A word of warning though ,,,,,you have to be up early in the morning if you want pancakes for breakfast as they were finished when we went... Our 3 night stay here was planned over a year before, having called in for a beer and a meal here on our way to the Orkneys in June 2010. We couldn't resist coming back for the Loch Ness Beer Festival in 2011- we were not dissapointed !! Our ensuite twin room was very comfortable and welcoming to return to... More

First found the Benleva hotel when on a cruise of the Caledonian canal & looking for somewhere to get a decent pint. Made sure we went there on the way back as well! Went back for the Loch Ness beer festival with friends & family & everyone had a great time. Great beer, great food, good accomodation at a reasonable... More

Just back from our 7th stay, great place to stay. The rooms are spotless, the food is excellent, ales are superb what more would you want? The owners are constantly trying to upgrade this perfect little hotel, this year they are upgrading the beds in the rooms, the bathrooms were refurbed in recent years and are still in excellent condition.... Stayed for one night on our way back from the Orkneys. Room very spacious, excellent heated towel rail dryed our wet bike gear. Decor does look a little dated, but have everything a traveller needs for a good nights stay i.e. comfortable bed, warm shower etc, and we didn't go to look at the wall paper. Scenery round the hotel... More
