I was taking a little week long road trip with friends. We stopped at Cracker Barrel in Manchester Tennessee to eat and asked to see their brochures. One of the brochures was for the Historic Tower House Inn. It looked really nice so we rode around and found it. It was kind of late but they were still in the office. We took a room upstairs. It was beautiful! There were gourmet coffees and teas in the room. And the bathroom was neat neat neat! It had a clawfoot tub with whirlpool. Candles surrounded the front of the tub. The next morning before we left we had breakfast. It was continental but nice. They brought us fresh mixed fruits, bagels and cream cheese, and coffee. Before we left they helped us plan part of the next day's activities on the internet. Best of all, we found out we had slept in an inn owned and run by a Tennessee writer. We will be back someday I hope. They feel like friends, they are really neat.
