We are regular visitors from Glasgow and keep coming back to the Whitebridge Hotel because we are certain of a warm welcome, great food and a choice of real ales. When it is busy the food can take a while, but that just shows that it is not your boil in the bag processed food of the chain pubs. The... more

I didn't know whether to give this hotel two or three stars. It wasn't great, but it's in the most amazing setting and has character about it. The disappointment, I feel, is in the way the hotel is run. I felt the owners were going about things in the cheapest way possible; the room that we had looked tired and... more

I find this review rather surprising considering the previous positive reviews of our food. Its almost as if this reviewer did not eat in our bar or restaurant. For a start, there are no Nachos on our menu. Nearly all of our bar meals are prepared on the premises from fresh ingredients including highland venison, aberdeen angus steak and fish...

We`ve done the west side of Loch Ness a couple of times and wanted a change for our few days in that part of the country. All that others have said about the position....the roads, tranquility etc are of course fixed; you like or dislike; we like! Our first impression when we walked through the entrance hall was the fusty... more

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel with such precision and for your positive comments, particularly regarding our food offering. We are aware that a few of our rooms are in need of attention, particularly with regard to bathrooms. The avocado bathroom which you mention is not to everyone's taste and is at the top of our...

Really nice hotel for the price. Its old and a bit worn around the edges but who wants to stay in a City Inn or suchlike when visiting Scotland. Best bit was the food - fantastic, home cooked, and varied. I had one of the best curries of my life - and that is a lot of curries. A couple... more

This is a quaint Scottish hotel nestled on the south side of Loch Ness. It is located on General Wade's single lane road equidistant from Fort Augustus and Inverness. I've stayed here twice - both for almost 2 weeks at a time and revisited in the summer of 2006. It really hasn't changed that much in almost 30 years. Good... more

We are fairly local and sometimes just go to the Whitebridge for a night away. The owners are very friendly and always give us a great welcome. The bar is one of the main attractions for us - real ale that is always in good condition and great food -especially the curries. Locals mix with tourists and give a very... more

As a seasoned traveller who has worked all around Scotland and the World, I found this hotel a pleasant place to stay during my recent 2 week project in Scotland. The owners were extremely helpful and despite the fact that their kitchen closed at 20:00 and some of my working days were finishing at 22:30, they always provided a meal... more
