My partner and I stayed at Sydney House for 2 nights. It was a fabulous stay - Georgian Cromarty at it's best. The room was great, excellent cleanliness & tastefully decorated, also with those little differences which make this B&B so much more. The breakfast was fabulous and if you go for the Scottish cooked you will not go hungry until... More

We stayed for one night on the way northwards. This B&B is easy to find, having a lovely bright red door, and despite being on the main road, it is not bothered by traffic noise - all part of the attraction of this part of the world I guess. Great communication from the owners certainly helped make it easy for... More

A lovely B&B with a high standard of furnishings, decorations and particularly well equipt en suites. A very warm friendly welcome and a great breakfast - what more can you want? Set in the heart of picturesque Cromarty with its history, old buildings and beautiful location. Alasdair told us exactly where to go to see the dolphins, which were a... More

this is a great B&B. It is in a beautiful old stone house - gorgeous high ceilings and tastefully decorated. Really helpful hosts - providing plenty of local information and advice on where to eat etc. Breakfast was great, cooked to order and a great selection - try the fruit pudding if you can, it is yummy! I found Sydney House through the Visitor's Center as my original plan of staying in Inverness failed through. What a nice surprise! This place is on the main street of Cromarty, and plenty of parking on the street in front of the hotel. The room was spacious and very clean. Alasdair was very friendly and helpful, gave me a lot... I spent two nights at Sydney House and can highly recommend it. It's set on the main street of Cromarty (a charming, hidden gem of a place). No complaints... very clean, comfortable and spacious room, with a modern, albeit smallish en-suite... great power in the shower. I got drenched to the skin in a torrential downpour and Alasdair kindly took... More
