This has to be one of the very best all round B&Bs you can go to. The accommodation is modern, spacious, clean and well presented. The views from the room are breathtaking. Our host - Ann was really helpful in providing info on things to do / places to go so you don't need to waste time planning before you... more

Aurora is simply one of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed at. Ann and Thomas have given great attention to detail. We particularly enjoyed the large spacious rooms, excellent views from every aspect and the large comfy bed. The guest lounge overlooks the loch complete with binoculars and lots of books, leaflets and information. If the weather is poor... more

Comfortable, well furnished, spacious room. Nice touches like hand made soaps in the bathroom. No TV in the room - we didn't go away to watch TV but it is nice to have it on sometimes before bed. There is a guest TV lounge but to be honest, we prefer to keep ourselves to ourselves so we never feel comfortable... more

We spent one night at Aurora during a week's holiday on the breathtaking West Coast of Scotland. Ann and Thomas are just fantastic and the thought and effort that they put into Aurora is clear, with eco friendly products and local produce used and supported. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. The room with perhaps the best view is... more

The house is positively luxurious and Ann and Thomas have devoted great attention to the details which make a stay so enjoyable. Great breakfasts and optional dinners which should not to be missed. more

Comfortable relaxing B&B, good value for money if staying 3 nights plus as more favourable rate, warm welcome, first -class flapjacks! good home-cooked evening meals and breakfasts. Good base for local walks. Scenery amazing. Good local bar and restaurant in the village and for more of a splurge, try The Torridon Hotel Restaurant for fine dining. more

Our experience of a 4 night stay mirrors what other have already written; i.e. Ann & Tom's standards are not slipping. We ate 'in' twice, and were impressed with the quality of the food; most is sourced locally and the provenance is known. As a rule I do not like rhubarb, but Ann's rhubarb crumble is different! I agree about... more

I stayed at Aurora for 2 nights in June with my husband and in laws. This B&B is situated in the loveliest place on earth! We had evening meals which were cooked by Thomas and were very good, although if we went back we would like to try the local pub as the food here also looked good. My only... more

We had a wonderful stay at Aurora earlier this year. The scenery of this area in Scotland is incredible. The village of Shieldaig is perfectly nestled in a small bay, lovely for sunsets and great walks. The B&B was clean and cosy. Our room did not have much of a view, but we enjoyed it just the same thanks to... more

We came to spend a few days climbing the giants of Torridon, and found a fantastic welcome with Ann and Thomas at this new B and B. It's comfortable, beautifully decorated, with great food and facilities - follow the credit crunch online from their laptop with free internet access. But best of all is the welcome - where else would... more
