We stayed with Mike and Rhona for 2 nights and were utterly spoilt with beautiful food - everything was home made including the oatcakes and the tomato sauce; in fact the oatcakes didn't make it til the starters arrived, they were so tasty! The rooms are lovely. The open fire and log burning stoves were wonderful to relax in front... More

We spent two nights here in October, 2011. Rona and Michael are wonderful hosts. They are Scottish through and through and their knowledge of the area is vast and is shared with a storyteller's warmth and flair. The rooms are perfectly appointed with every detail considered. Be sure to book for dinner. The food was the most perfect we had... More

We chose this B&B for a long weekend break in the pretty Victorian Strathpeffer based on its existing reviews, and boy, does it deserve the praise! The Edwardian house has been beautifully restored - the communal areas are grand yet homely, the bedrooms plush.. and then there's the food. Rona is an amazing chef and her cooked breakfast menu is... More

My husband I were married in Strathpeffer Pavilion, and stayed, along with some of our wedding party at Linnmhor house. We had the most wonderful stay - Rona and Mike were fantastic hosts, where nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are beautiful, tastefully decorated and very clean at all times. We stayed three nights and the warm and friendly... More

We spent just one night at Linnmhor House having found it on the internet, and will certainly be returning, hopefully often. Mike and Rona gave us the warmest possible welcome and could not have been better hosts - welcoming, friendly and clearly determined to make our stay pleasant, which indeed it was. This up-market B&B comes as something of a... More

We've stayed twice now at Linnmhor House. Had to go back after such a great experience first time around. Food is excellent and varied. We were in the double room which is furnished to a very high standard and I particularly noticed the quality bed linen. Guaranteed great night's sleep. Dinner was exceptionally good. Didn't expect that quality in a... More

On arrival, the four of us were greeted very warmly - literally - with a welcome fire and glass of wine. Michael acted as a taxi service to a restaurant Rhona recommended for dinner, though, given the fabulous smells in the kitchen, perhaps we should have accepted her offer to "rustle up something" for us! Next time, we shall do... More

We just spent one night here, and if we had more time and had known, we would have stayed longer, and done day trips from here. Rona and Michael are SO nice and easy; the rooms are attractive and clean, with modern bathroom facilities, and GREAT bed linens compared to the other B&Bs we've encountered in Scotland. Rona is an... More

What a great spot! We stayed 5 nights with Rhona and Michael and couldn't fault any aspect. Such a nice couple, great facilities, excellent location for travel in the Highlands, great golf nearby, even the hurricane missed us to the South! You have to have at least one evening meal in. R & M did us proud and produced a... More

We stayed two nights and I wish it was a thousand nights! The hosts are soooooo nice, allways chatting and recommending walks. Their food is amazing, and the rooms are fantastic (wall mounted flat screen T.V)! and a huge range of DVDs. So basically, five star, amazing, fantastic. Rafe Dignan age 10 More
