Large, very clean rooms and great breakfast in a location that cannot be beaten for a Highland vacation. Our party of two married couples spent six great days exploring the Highlands from this wonderful B & B. Margaret the owner is full of advise and is a mine of local history . Highly recommend the upper Highland people as cheerful... more

Even though I'd read all the excellent reviews for Craigvar, I was still taken aback by how wonderful it was. Margaret Scott is a terrific hostess who believes in exceeding expectations at every turn - from the luxurious rooms (with the most comfortable linen and mattresses I have ever slept on) to the little touches like fruit and crisps, spa... more

I stayed here for one night at the end of my holiday, but wish it could have been longer. Margaret welcomed me with tea served in the comfortable lounge, and upgraded me to the twin "Peach" room, as this was available, at no extra charge. The standard of accommodation is really first class - a very comfortable bed, huge room... more

There are not many places I cannot fault - normally there's something small wrong. But I think this wonderful B&B was an exception - it was perfect. From the moment of knocking on the door to the leaving time the next day, it was exquisite. I slept better than at home! A small B&B with 3 or 4 rooms in... more

I've stayed in a few B & B's but this is leagues above the rest. Margaret is a very kind and welcoming host and the rooms are lovely and cosy and warm (a good thing as it was -7c most of the time we were there). You can come and go as you please but make sure you are in... more

From Margaret's warm welcome to her lovely breakfast, the stay at Craigvar was enjoyable. The Blue Room was spacious, spotless and very comfortable. Lots of little details (like sherry and biscuits in the room) helped to make it exceptional. Strathpeffer is a darling village and would make a good (and peaceful) base for traveling around the Inverness area. Our only... more

This is a beautiful B&B with a lovely owner in a great location. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner, and she had put some lovely little touches in the room to make it feel like home. Can't recommend it enough! more

we stayed in the blue room, we especially liked the victorian bath - one complaint though - carpet in the bathroom is never a good idea, its just asking to get soaked. breakfast was good and the hosts were polite and kind. excellent area, right on the square, beautiful to walk around. more

Right across from the square in the historic Victorian spa town of Strathpeffer, you cannot beat the location. Our room was huge: a separate dressing area, huge bathroom and sitting area, along with two twin beds. There were free snacks (fruit, crisps) and complimentary sherry in the room. Beautifully maintained. A delicious breakfast. For the price it is downright luxurious.... more
