This was a sad shock to stay in the kind of hotel I thought had disappeared from Scotland long since. The rooms were poor. Ageing decor, very poor facilities, no seat, no desk, kettle on the floor and didn't feel clean. The shared bathroom was almost comically vile. This hotel is not great for a meal to say the least. We had walked hard all day on the mountains around the area. We pre-booked a table but wish we hadn't bothered. This is my second stay at the Kinlochewe. The location is great, the rooms are really nice, the food is great and the owners and the rest of the team who run the hotel are really friendly. I would certainly recommend staying at this hotel - in a word .... chilled more

The hotel is obviously being upgraded room by room over a period of time. The bar, lounge etc were nice, clean and tidy. We could not have been made more welcome. Even the dog was made to feel at home. No children was one of the main attractions. It was peaceful and cosy. I could have done with the room being a little warmer but it was by no means freezing. We will go back there just as soon as we can find... more
