I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to the new team in place in the Tappi Tourie pub and grill at the Turnberry Hotel Clubhouse is Turnberry, Aryshire. The grill has turned from being an establishment of people with sour grumpy faces, to attentive knowledgeable staff. The new manager in Jody and his spectacular team of Ralf and Frank... more

I stayed here because i was attending a wedding nearby. I really didn't like this hotel. It was incredibly expensive for what it offered and the service was mediocre. When I checked in there was a trainee on reception and it took about 15 minutes of hanging around to find my reservation. Even though I'd booked a deluxe room I... more

Managed a conference here. Although this hotel is now being rennovated, the plans looked fantastic. It was a great place and can only get better. The staff were helpful and the location and history very interesting and grand. I will definately return to check out the new improved version. Only downside is that it is located a long way from... more

We stayed 2 nights to celebrate my wife's birthday and everything was just superb: the amazing, very large, comfortable and tastefully furnished bedroom (it felt like a suite) with a most spacious bath and shower with marble floor; the lovely atmosphere in the bar and the scrumptious breakfast the next morning in the restaurant were good reasons not to want... more

We have come here annually as part of a wine society event, and also spent the first two days of married life here too. Service is very attentive, we have found. Nothing is too much trouble. Even the dog gets a warm welcome. I understand it's now closed for refurbishment prior to hosting the Open in July 2009. Carpets in... more

My wife and I took a driving vacation to Scotland and the final leg was a three-day stay at the Turnberry. If you feel I am a traveller who is always critical please do read my review of the Airds Hotel: wonderful value, service and quality, the total opposite of the Turnberry. I don't play golf so have no view... more

My Husband and I won a weekend at The Turnberry so it was free. If we had paid, we would have been complaining all weekend! I do hope that when the Dubai company take over and refurbish for The Open, that they train the staff properly! Reception - we were dealt with by a Receptionist who acted like a Robot,... more

I see there are mixed reviews on this hotel. My own opinion is that if you are a golfer and you have already tried Gleneagles and St Andrews then I would think it is a good place to try if you can find a bargain. Other than that you have a lot of local options and golf based hotel which... more

During our Scotland holiday we stayed for one night in the Westin Turnberry, which is famous for its golf courses. There is the classic hotel and the newer lodges. We had a very nice and spacious rooms in one of the lodges, but the next time I will defintley book a room in the hotel. The area is huge, put... more

I spent two nights at the Turnberry Resort as part of a large golf tour group. Though the experience was not the equal of what we encountered at The Old Course Hotel in St. Andrews, it was nevertheless well above average in most criteria. When approaching the resort, one is almost awestruck by the appearance of the massive hotel on... more
