I stayed at the Royal Hotel for 2 days for a break. I loved the staff as they were all very kind and welcoming, and everyone especially the receptionist were helpful and friendly. On the first night i had delicious chicken and the second night i had haddock, both incredible. the bedroom was gorgeous and the bathroom was impeccable. I... more

We have stayed in dozens of hotels where the rooms were so alike they could have been anywhere, even in any country. The Royal Hotel, Bridge of Allan, is full of character due to its age. Not everything is airconditioned. The rooms are not all the same, and they actually have floorboards under the carpet, not concrete. The ceilings are... more

We stayed at this friendly hotel in Bridge of Allan and really enjoyed our stay. The service was efficient which was surprising giving they had a large function on the night we stayed. The room was clean and comfortable and had all the facilities you would expect in a hotel. The location is great as a central point for any... more

I've had 25 years of staying in hotels all around the world and I must say that the family hotel beats the chains anytime. The Royal was a real surprise and largely because of the excellent staff who just had a knack of making the ordinary extraordinary in the best possible way. Dinner was excellent with lots of local fare... more

We saw in the New Year. Stayed for 3 nights. Bedrooms variable but all rather old fashioned. New bathrooms have been installed which are a stark contrast to the bedrooms. The corridors on second floor were dirty. We had cobwebs in our bedroom which was small. The bathroom was half the size of the bedroom and one singelton had a... more

Our daughter was married in January 2006 and the wedding and reception was in the Royal Hotel. Everything went without a hitch and the staff could.nt do enough for us. We have a large family and relatives travelled from England to be with us - they were delighted with the food and the staff gave them a real Scottish welcome.... more

Stayed here for 1 night, which was more than enough. On arrival the receptionist said I have given you a better room. Great we thought. On entering room 14 after travelling the stained carpet hallways, the first thing that hit me was the smell of must. I would hate to see the not so good rooms. As only they’re for... more
