I only read the reviews after our visit and found lements i agreed with in several- both good and bad. The hotel is in a fabulous situation and the view from the restaurant and our lake side room was breathtaking. The setting for this hotel is beautiful and staff were friendly and helpful. Room 8 was decorated in a contemporary style. Evening meal in the bar was good. Enjoyed our stay but disappointed with room. Though we paid for an "intermediate room" It was above the loud laundry room and below a noisy Hot water system that fed the entire hotel 24/7. Our meal was excellent (even if one of the 4 main choices was off the menu and had to be replaced!) Wine choice also very good... more

had a winter warmer break here which was excellent value. Dinner was excellent although atrange when only a few tables in they sat another couple right beside us so we could hear their entire conversation.
