We stayed at the Lake for 3 nights last week, during the glorious hot, sunny weather. This was our forth stay at the hotel in the last couple of years and every time we visit, we see more improvements and changes having been made. The staff are always friendly, helpful and eager to assist without being over the top. We... more

After reading some of the reviews on this hotel I felt the need to comment as follows - We recently stayed at the Lake Hotel for 1 night to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary, a surprise, my other half had organised, we were not disappointed. The room was comfortable and looked like it had been recently decorated. Dinner in the lake... more

I only read the reviews after our visit and found lements i agreed with in several- both good and bad. The hotel is in a fabulous situation and the view from the restaurant and our lake side room was breathtaking. The room was not one of the ones which had been modernised- if this is a rolling programme in time... more

Thanks for the positive comments, staff are passionate about reading this too! Head Chef is on breakfast duty until normal service resumed! We are constantly working on renewing - this room is scheduled for a very major refit next spring (price will go up) but please do not be put off by that as it is very comfortable, very large,...

The setting for this hotel is beautiful and staff were friendly and helpful. Room 8 was decorated in a contemporary style. Evening meal in the bar was good. However, there was a banging noise in our room which carried on until 11pm and started again early morning, which sounded like faulty plumbing, combined with the roar from the air conditioning... more

May thanks for your comments, both here and during your stay. I'm sorry you did not think we took your comments seriously - we did. Second comment so room 8 was closed off. Plumbers have been stripping, lagging, cladding and fixing since and room back in service 3 July having been independantly tested. Again thanks for the feedback if we...

Enjoyed our stay but disappointed with room. Though we paid for an "intermediate room" It was above the loud laundry room and below a noisy Hot water system that fed the entire hotel 24/7. Our meal was excellent (even if one of the 4 main choices was off the menu and had to be replaced!) Wine choice also very good... more

First time we have been aware of a potential problem. It seems occasional and is under investigation. We discussed this with the customer at the time and compensated accordingly. If customers have concerns we will always do everything we can to resolve matters as soon as they are brought to our attention.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel last weekend and from the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were made to feel welcome. Nothing was too much for any of the staff which is a failing in too many hotels in Scotland. Food was execellent as was accomodation. Although situated only 40 minutes from our home... more

We have just returned from 2 days dinner, bed and breakfast , staying in room 1, a beautiful lakeside room, with 2 windows looking out over the lake from the room, a separate dressing area leading to the bathroom, with separate bath and shower and "his and hers" sinks. It is definitely worth the extra money for the lakeside room,... more

We stayed here for one night on the dinner and breakfast package, which was bought for us as a gift when we got married in the area. It was a very relaxing, comfortable stay. The restaurant provides a beautiful view over the lake, and the food was lovely. Our room was very spacious, and it had a lake view with... more

had a winter warmer break here which was excellent value. Dinner was excellent although atrange when only a few tables in they sat another couple right beside us so we could hear their entire conversation. Poor service at breakfast ( waitress very snappy although i think she was very busy) let them down somewhat although as the meal wore on... more

We've just returned from a two night all-inclusive break to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday at The Lake of Menteith, Hotel and it was really superb! We had a warm welcome from friendly staff on a cold, 'dreich' day. The bedroom was cosy and we'd been up-graded to a lake view room. It was not a renovated room but we... more
