Gillian, the landlady, welcomed us with a cheery smile that set the tone for our stay. Our room was spotlessly clean and the private bathroom was sparkling and modern. We found this to be an outstandingly good guest house. The setting was lovely, the rooms were comfortable and the owners were very welcoming. We stayed at Ardness House for one night the first week of May. We had no idea what to expect on Mull - except that we knew it would be quite rural.
