Me and my friends were travelling around Scotland. We have visited many hostels and B&B’s, but this hostel- Glenaros Lodge was the worst night mare ever. Just when we came there, I could smell something awful in the bedrooms. Even, the bed linen was dirty. We asked the owner (Peter) if they could change them, and he answered that his assistant went away. Luckily we had our bags to sleep in. Then we wanted to have a dinner. The dogs (absolutely not harmful) will welcome you once you're there, and shortly after you'll be welcome by the owner, who are from England and know what hospitality means. We were shown the whole house, told about the place and the nearby places where to eat and hang around, and the owners booked a table for us at Mediterranea in Salen (an highly recommended restaurant, by the way, where the Italian chef interprets the Highland dishes in his own way).

The place is very nice: the living room is cosy and big, full of books and magazines...
