Mould on the ceilings, electrical appliances hanging off the walls, rubbish piled high, fire routes blocked with rubbish. Avoid this establishment at all costs. I booked 2 nights in this hostel, sorry hotel, as a birthday gift to my wife. After being unable to complete the booking on the bespoke website I was unable to add "extras". I phoned and... More

I arrived cold and wet and was meet at reception with the same. Went to my single room and it didn’t get any better, the room was cold with a small electric heater that i had to set and took over an hour to get any heat in the room. The toilet roof was badly peeling and the showerhead was... More

Ill-fitting doors, no cold water for bath, no soap in the bathroom, food stodgy and lukewarm, breakfast tea stewed and undrinkable. Catering staff's friendly helpfulness was the only redeeming feature of the place.

Poor carpark, poor food. Staff ok except Carvery chef who told us off for asking for an extra Yorkshire pudding. Don't ask for anything else you may get told off! Rooms ok but cold. Waitress Amy saved the day, very pleasant.

We stopped here to break a journey home from the Western Isles. In this context, the Dunollie was OK, but a longer stay would be something we would avoid. I "guestimate" the place dates from the 1960s/70s and it has not really escaped from the architectural/construction deficiencies of that era. Some of the good points - Recently fitted carpets in... Im not one to be fussy normally as i've stayed in lots of $4 hotels in South America but when your paying over £80 a room (inc breakfast and dinner) you expect a few things to work:- 1) The bathroom taps were bubble wrapped to stop them leaking. 2) The toilet flushed only once before needing a whole day to... We stayed here one night while touring around so had a few to compare it with. The room itself was good enough (except for the pillows) comfy beds, nice and warm but....the bathroom needed some TLC, it would have taken about an hour to sort it out and would have made all the difference. The lock didn't work, the toilet... More

Not cleaned properly every day. Staff not helpful (only the English speaking ones to be fair), at breakfast and dinner you are being treated like a naughty child if you go to the buffet on your own and you have to beg for coffee (instant not even real coffee) there is no sufficient parking. The only good points are: in... More
