The most wonderful B+B we have ever stayed! From when you arrive to when you leave we felt so chilled out! The B+B is so tastefully decorated with wonderful owners. Breakfast has such a wide variety of food and all cooked to perfection. The bedrooms overlook the water and hills with the most wonderful sunset! The lounge upstairs is relaxing... more

We stayed for 2 nights (and wished it had been for more), arriving on April 20. We stayed in one of the rooms with a king size bed. Cannot say enough good things about the "House of Hope". The facility itself is amazing. Our bedroom & bathroom were spacious, comfortable, and filled with extras like Highland Soap Company's Scottish Heather... more

What can I say that hasn't already been said by the previous reviews? We had a perfectly happy weekend in Skye, the west coast weather came good, and Tigh an Dochais really lived up to the expectations that had been set by other travellers and press articles. Neil is a very formidable host who will do all that he can... more

Firstly the house. It is stunning. Immaculately designed, with a picture postcard view out of the huge guest lounge window, and from the french windows onto the terrace from each guest room. We almost didn't want to go outside on a sunny Easter day given the beauty of the house itself. The rooms were spacious, extremely tastefully decorated, with very... more

The pictures on the website don't do this place justice. It's like staying in a home on Grand Designs. I'd live there if I could. And it's really popular so book way in advance. I don't have lots more to add that hasn't been covered already, but Neil (the absurdly helpful owner) has lavished a lot of time and attention... more

We booked this B&B for two nights because it seemed to be centrally located on Skye, was reasonably priced, and looked like it might be nice. When we got there, we found all the pictures and reviews were right! It really is that nice. The house is right on the beach, conveniently located near the bridge that crosses from mainland... more

Everything about this place is top quality. The welcome from Neil is comprehensive and ends with him asking for your choice of drink to have in the lounge (along with the homemade shortcake). The view from the lounge is breathtaking. Our room was directly below the lounge. It had everything you would want (Toiletries, Tea Coffee etc) and everything you... more

Forget Portree and stay in Broadford! Tigh an Dochais is the most perfect B&B EVER. We want to go back to Skye again just so we can stay here! OK -- so as noted by another reviewer, the host is a tad distant upon arrival and as he shows you the stunning house. We couldn't get over all the high... more

This b&b really shows the advantages of purpose-built accommodation. It's very new and extremely comfortable, the owner Neil provides everything you could need, lots of advice about where to go and what to see and superb breakfasts. They were the best we had on our two week Scottish holiday. Rooms are extremely comfortable and have beautiful floor to ceiling views... more
