We travelled overnight from Euston to Fort William, took the steam train from there to Malaig where we hired a car for three days to explore Skye, returning it to Kyle from where we took the train to Inverness. Skye is spectacular, with gorgeous views at every turn, and the midges, which we'd dreaded, weren't much of a problem. We'd highly recommend this b & b for its lovely position and friendly and helpful hosts. There are two rooms, both on the ground floor. It's situated in Broadford on a slope above the town and away from the long main road, with lovely views. The garden is gorgeous and the inside of the house very quiet, comfortable and well maintained. We stayed in the twin room overlooking the side of the garden. It was well furnished with everything you could need (hairdryer, lots of storage space, coffee and tea making, a lovely shower room).
