We first came across The Three Chimneys over ten years ago, when it was a restaurant sans rooms. We loved it then, loved the idyllic setting & then lovely owners (who 'corrupted' us with and introduction to Henschke.....) . Ever since, we have tried to organise a return, especially once we found out about the House Over-By. Success & I... more

Stayed one night. Dinner - we had the standard 3 course menu for £55 - excellent. However if you're an upper-end foodie then to our minds Martin Wishart in Edinburgh - similar price - beats it easily. And for sheer enjoyment frankly we preferred the Loch Bay restaurant at Stein, Waternish. Staff charming and courteous but we agree with the... more

Sorry but go for the food not the room. It's a shame that they take advantage of the absolutely superb restaurant and its isolated location to charge you an arm and a leg for what is a pine portakabin. Afterall, its not like you could have stayed elsewhere, although I'd rather have pitched a tent in the restaurants back garden.... more

We recently spent 2 nights at the Three Chimneys and, whilst all the staff were excellent, the overall experience was disappointing. The setting is glorious but sadly the rooms are not. They are old fashioned, quite souless and in need of a major re-vamp. The beds are not comfortable, the linen is not luxurious and the pillows are cheap and... more

Dear SallycoooperOxford, Thank you for your review and comments about your stay with us in June. I have already noticed your remarks on our Customer Comment Form that you left for me in Reception when you checked-out. Unfortunately, due ato a family death, Eddie and I were not available for you to talk to personally. I am, of course, delighted...

We recently had a two day trip to Skye, with evening dinner in the Three Chimney's Restaurant a highlight of the trip. From the moment you step into the restaurant you are greeted by friendly welcoming staff, and although this is a high class establishment, everyone seemed to feel comfortable in the restaurant. My apprehensions before visiting were whether I... more

After booking the restuarant for lunch for the 6 of us I read some trip advisor reviews, which either were v good or disappointing not much in between. I was a littlle concerned as it was my choice for the 6 of us. However we need not have been concerned the food was excellent, the staff delightful with even v... more

We travelled to Skye on the 26th February 2009 and had booked dinner at the "Three Chimneys Restaurant" for dinner on the 27th and the 28th. Although we had rented a cottage, which was a mere 8 minutes walk away, next time we sill stay at the restaurant itself. The reason for our long anticipated visit was my husbands 40th... more

Having eaten a number of times at the 3C’s over the years this was our first overnight stay. We have both worked in the 4* end of the hospitality business in the Scottish Highlands for more years than we care to remember so appreciate the extra effort and stamina that is needed to bring world-class service into this environment. Not... more

What can I say about our stay? From the moment we arrived til the moment we left this was the perfect trip. As it was our honeymoon every one of the staff congratulated us as soon as they met us, they had also left a present in our room. Nothing was too much trouble (when our cistern needed repaired on... more

Dear Lunastar5555, Thank you for your lovely compliments on the web about your surprise visit to The Three Chimneys.
