On arrival on the beautiful isle of skye, we headed into Kyleakin looking forward to getting to our hotel after a 4 hour drive. On approach, hubby and i said in unison,OH NO, (edited version!) surely not, that cannot possibly be a hotel. Oh well, we're here now, lets just make the most of it. Parked up, waded through the... more

A friend and I had booked weeks in advance to stay here as part of our Highland road trip. We were looking forward to a lovely view of the Skye Bridge, which is my favourite bridge. When making the booking via fax, we mentioned that I would need soya milk when I came, and I rang the hotel a few... more

Please be assured that we do take your comments seriously and will certainly look into the issues you have raised. We do have a problem with the television reception in the village due to an emergency services mast at the end of the street. Your comments of the hotel smelling of dogs, we have a no animals policy in the...

Not a pretentious hotel but they are very good at what they do. The fabric could do with a bit of a freshen up but the staff more than make up for this. Always smiley and helpful more

We arrived on the 27 July 2009 for a 2 day stop over as part of a 14 day break with the purpose of exploring Skye. We found our confirmed booking for a double room had been given to a coach party and we were asked to accept a twin room for the first day and a double for the... more

My partner and I stayed here for three nights, never, ever again! I agree with a fellow reviewer, the place stinks to high heaven and it is filthy with paint and plaster peeling off the walls. The twee tartan carpets only cover up the pot-holed floor underneath; the doors inside the hotel are caked in dirt and who I assumed... more

This has to be one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The hotel needs to be shut down and re-furbished. The corridors to the rooms smell awful problable due to the dirty disgusting carpets that look like they have never vacuumed since the hotel was open. They are worn, ripped and in need of replacing. As a... more

On arriving at the hotel, we were greeted by the receptionist at the hotel with what we've found to be the typical Highland welcome - silence and a blank stare. Why does the customer have to make the first gesture up there? My first impression was that the previous bad reports on the site were correct. How wrong I was!... more
