Excellent base. Five minutes from the town centre, so great if you want a drink in the evening as you can walk home. You really don't spend too much time looking at it, it's just a shock when you first arrive after a 15 hour drive. The flat was warm (night storage heaters) and dry. All mod-cons in the kitchen, reasonable shower and fluffy towels; all you need after a day of midge-fighting in the Skye peat bogs. Someone else has obviously realised that egyptian cotton sheets are a [--] to iron! Fab big telly with DVD and freesat - big fridge to keep your beer in. I would say best for either a couple or for three lads sharing - only one loo/bathroom so only one bathroom diva/divo per party. I'd certainly recommend going to see the sea-eagles from the harbour in Portree. more
