Absolutely superb guest house, in a stunning location. Lovely owners, who couldn't be more helpful and with a complimentary choice of whiskey, what more can you need. This is a home from home, the main room, which is where breakfast is served, is so well appointed and is there for your own use. The room was perfect, brilliant size with a lovely sofa. There was everything you could need, coffee maker as well as instant, a fridge, with complimentary water and fresh milk. Iron, etc. The bathroom was lovely and the bed - wow, so comfortable. Breakfast was fit for a king. Everything was lovely and fresh and such a good selection. The Stornaway black pudding, was the best I have ever tasted. We didn't want to leave, it was a pity we couldn't get in for the two nights we wanted, but can certainly understand why. Perfect.…

Skye was so beautiful and varied! About 15 minutes north of Portree, this B&B was just delightful. Laura and Frazier were so welcoming to their beautiful home. A gorgeous breakfast in a gorgeous setting. We had a very comfortable room with a great view. Would definitely return.

Stay here! This was fantastic. Great hosts, a very comfortable room/bed overlooking a water view. Couldn't fault it. I would 100% stay here again. Breakfast was tasty and generous - option to choose of a menu! Easy parking. Very quiet location. A short drive to good restuarant for dinner

Everything about Glenhaultin is lovely, the location, the views, the decor, the quietness, the multitude of thoughtful extras, the comfiest bed giving the best night's sleep, impeccably clean throughout and above all the warm and friendly hosts Laura and Frazier - thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home (and for introducing us to Jasper). The nicest b&b we have stayed in, I cannot wait till next time.

We stayed for 3 nights, and it was a great choice. The B&B is beautiful and the room is comfortable and nicely decorated with things that are made on Skye. The hosts Laura and Frazier are friendly and welcoming and do everything they can to make your stay pleasant. The breakfast has more variety than most: fresh fruits, yogurt, cheeses, pancakes, muffins, omelets, full Scottish,... Very nice! The location is just north of Portree, and close enough to go into Portree for dinner (you may need reservations). The site is quiet and rural, but is a convenient central location for touring the different areas on Skye.

A very warm welcome on arrival and an exceptional B and B. An idyllic location set with a beautiful view of the nearby loch. The accommodation is wonderful, the room had everything you required for your stay, all your needs were catered for. The breakfast was delicious. This has to be in our top 2 of places we've stayed in. Will hope to return for a longer stay.

We stayed here as a couple for four nights. This is definitely one of the best accommodation we have stayed in. The room had everything you would need and more. Unbelievable views from the windows. Exceptionally clean and very welcoming hosts in Laura and Fraiser (and mum). Breakfast was cooked well with everything you could want and more. Definitely deserving of five 🌟. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the beautiful Isle of Skye.

A few miles out of Portree, down a short single track road in a farm setting, is the surprising Glenhaulten, a relatively new home and B&B, designed by the owner Frasier, to be technologically up to date and fully carbon neutral. If you have a car and prefer a quieter location, this is a wonderful modern home with only 2 rooms. Frazier has lived on the lane his whole life and is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. His wife Laura tends to the house and she and her mother cook a wonderful breakfast. One important tip if you are staying in Portree. It gets very crowded in the summer and restaurants book up in advance, so be sure to look into that and book well before arriving. Frazier can recommend a couple we enjoyed immensely, especially one owned by his sister “No 2 Down The Lane”, but you need to arrive early and plan to stand in line and wait.…

Our family our 4 adults stayed here on Isle of Skye as part of our Highlands Tour. Our host made us feel very welcome and treated us perfectly. He has done up the B&B in a very luxurious and comfortable way down to the details that matter. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. We had full use of a lovely living room. Our host was also very informative with places where to dine and places to visit. Definitely the place to stay if visiting Skye.

We are very happy that we chose to stay out of town. It was a little difficult to find but once we did we were extremely happy with our decision. It is very peaceful and quiet and the view of the countryside is breathtaking. It is very luxurious with wonderful amenities. Breakfast was delicious, especially the omelets. Laura's mother is a delight as she was the breakfast host for a couple of mornings. We cannot wait to return and we highly recommend the Glenhaultin B&B.
