I have just spent 3 days exploring the Island of Skye with a tour called Rabbies. Much to my dissapointment, Rabbies travel booked my accomodation at The Harbour Lodge in Portree. Nice place, but our view was into the neighbors backyard and house (not much for privacy, as their view was into our room). Nice room, clean bathrooms, good breakfast. Overall friendly and helpful hosts. I think in the future I'd stay at their self-catering accommodations down on the water, which seemed very nicely located. more

We stayed three nights at the Harbor Lodge and are going back at our first opportunity. The Harbor Lodge is a small, self catering hotel RIGHT ON the harbor in Portree. The views out of the rooms are excellent. The pictures of the rooms on their web site don't do them justice. They have been recently re-done and are clean... more
