The Pink Guest House was worth what every penny. It is not the fanciest of accommodations, but it does serve it's purpose quite well. With a family of six, we were very comfortable staying here in two rooms for two nights. David and his staff were friendly and polite. The rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and... more

The owner was unfriendly and unhelpful. I asked for an iron and was told I could not have one. I asked how long a certain journey took by car ( I used to live on Skye and knew roughly) and he gave an estimate that clearly indicated he had no idea about the island at all. The room was damp... more

The Pink House is in a seemingly enviable situation right on the harbour at Portree and I am certain that there maybe at least three bedrooms (the only ones on the website) that might just make a stay there worth the money. In January 2009 I reserved two double rooms with harbour views. These, the owner (David) confirmed were guaranteed.... more

My wife and I (in our 60s) had a wonderful multi-day stay with David and the folks at the Pink Guest House in Portree, Skye. Though we were treated to stereotypical Scottish weather (cool, dank, rainy/cloudy) for the bulk of our visit to Skye, the Ping House made a wonderful home base for touring the rest of the island, being... more

The rooms were warm and cozy, staff quite friendly and the location just perfect. Breakfast well prepared and very tasty if you like Scottish cuisine:) A lack of a proper carpark was a big disadvantage of the place. WiFi range was limited only to the lounge and dining area but we spent most of the time outside the house anyways... more

My stay at the Pink Guest House was dreadful. There were holes in the sheets and the towels and bathmat were threadbare and actually TATTERED. One of the towels received on the first day was also stained ... EEEEW. The cups for tea or coffee were stained and dirty, and the kettle was covered in old coffee splashes. The inside... more

We were there for 3 nights, and stayed in Room 10, on the 2nd floor. The setting was cosy and pretty, with clean bathroom/toilet - which is a really important criteria for me! We also loved the Scottish breakfast- the owner and the staff were friendly and helpful. The wi-fi didnt work intermittently, but since we were there to relax,... more

This is an incredibly dated guest house. It must be one of the only places left in Europe which doesn't have central heating. The service was poor. The breakfast was bland at best and the room was extremely small and tatty. The wallpaper was peeling off in the hall and we had to go outside with our coats on to... more

The location was made even more impressive by it's price. Great seafood restaurants either side with a cute "quiet" bar next door. Our bay view room was very generous and the ensuite was very clean with a great shower to warm up in the morning. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Driving around Skye we knew we had picked... more
