Went to the Woodlands in Portree, September 2009 had a brilliant two night stay. Accommodation was perfect, spotlessly clean, lovely decor. Best breakfasts ever, the hosts were extremely pleasant & helpful. Thanks Joan for a lovely stay...highly recommended. Don't want to tell to many people as I want to keep this we gem of a B & B to myself! more

I give Woodlands B&B the highest recommendation possible! The location is wonderful- just outside of Portree, a short 10-minute walk from downtown. The view is stunning! Our bedroom window (the bedroom right by the front door) looked out over the water and rolling hills- just a gorgeous location. Joan Ann is just wonderful- such a great hostess! This is a lovely little B&B, ideally located just a short walk into town and with lovely views over the harbour. It's made even better by the delighfully friendly hostess, and her truly exceptional breakfast cooking. We were looking for a comfortable, cozy, and friendly "homebase" for our three days/nights of exploring the Isle of Skye. The Woodlands was just perfect. Wonderful location: overlooking Portree and absolutely stunning scenery, centrally located on the island, giving access to all the wonderful places to see.
