5-bedroom guest house near Dunvegan. The room was very nice, everything was brand new and tastefully decorated, the mattress was good. Two little points could be improved to become quite perfect: a TV in the room would be nice, and less pressure to book dinner via the guest house would be appreciated. more

Thank you for your review. If bookings are made directly to us by telephone or internet our e-mail confirmation back does give a list of where to eat . In the nearby village for an evening meal there are only 2 establishments that are known to be of a good standard. One cannot be guaranteed to serve meals after 7.30pm...

I stay here for 1 night with my husband, and parents. We were given a very warm welcome and shown to our newly decorated rooms (a vague smell of paint still lingered!), which had wifi, a stereo with an iPod dock, power shower, and other amenities that made it feel modern and luxorious. Certainly by B&B standards! Most notable was... more

We stayed at Roskill House for 2 nights while in skye and loved it. It has just been completely refurbished inside and our room was brand new and simply lovely. This is a b&b where the owners have really thought about how to make your stay comfortable and memorable. There is also a guest lounge to hang out in too.... more

This guest house was a wonderful experience! Our room was beautiful! It was clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was a pleasant surprise as well, as it had a full bath as well as a shower. The breakfast was well organized and delicious! Preferences were decided the night before, and breakfast was on time every morning. The... more

New owners arrived in April 2008 but happily it hasn't changed much and the older reviews here are still valid. It is an excellent B&B with really good breakfasts, nice rooms, well equipped. Breakfasts are unusual, the cold raspberry porridge seems to have gone but there are fruits &pancakes, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, yoghurt with bananas and nuts, delicious... more

I was beginning to worry when I was struggling to find a place to stay in Portree when I was booking our stay on Skye. But how glad am I that my search took us further afield to this little island treasure. Skye is a beautiful island, but this really is a gem of a spot and a great place... more

Stayed for one night, but wish we could have stayed longer! Fantastic B&B, lovely clean room, great lounge with log-fire, and a wonderful breakfast. Easy to find, and is in a beautiful location. Will definitely return, and would highly recommend this B&B to anyone who wants to stay in this area. more

What a ray of sunshine Roskhill is. Lovely welcome, really clean room. Breakfast was great no fried food in sight. We recommend the pancakes and fruit. Set back from the road which was lovely, so peaceful. We ate in the School House, very good meal, we only just got a table by turning up at opening time. The Stern Inn... more

My fiance and I stayed in this B&B for 2 nights last weekend (end July 2007). Our plan was to escape from the "joys" of wedding planning and, never having been to Skye before, we decided that a weekend away from it all would be just what the doctor ordered. I found Roskill House on the Visit Scotland web site... more

This part of Skye is beautiful and the Roskhill is a great place to stay. Great breakfasts with something a bit different from the usual fry up! Definitely recommend a visit more
