Balmeanach House has been lovingly restored by Arlene who has also made a lovely little garden which is open to the public on certain days. It is very comfortable and we were very well looked after, especially as we ran very low on petrol (long story, running very late!!) trying to make our booked table at The Three Chimneys. After taking a taxi back to Balmeanach at the end of the evening and leaving the car at the restaurant, Arlene took my husband off to the petrol station in the morning and on to pick up the car. Nothing was too much trouble! Breakfast was also excellent. Would certainly stay there again if we return to Skye.
This would appeal to anyone who likes to stay in friendly places with character. Unfortunately due to the rush I forgot to take any pictures, but there are plenty on the website. more
