We are a family of four. We booked Mrs. MacLeod's B&B through the tourist info center Fort William, as we wanted a place to stay the night near Uig before catching the early ferry to North Uist. We were offered an excellent rate: 23 pounds per adult, 13 pounds for the kids. We had two rooms for this price--they were SPOTLESS, as was the rest of Mrs. MacLeod's lovely home. It was exactly what one would expect of a quaint Scottish B&B: Cozy, comfortable and unpretentious. An unexpected surprise, evening tea was served at 9pm in the lounge, with a selection of home-baked goodies. A full hot breakfast of our choice was served in the morning, along with porridge and a selection of cold cereals, fruit, etc. Wonderful home made preserves--including black current and gooseberry jams, all made from Mrs. MacLeod's own berries. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this B&B to other travelers. My only complaint would be that we had no en suite bathroom. There... more
