Loved the hotel pool which is modern, quite large and set in a glade of trees, very relaxing and I was the only person in it! Warmed towels were provided and shampoo etc in the changing room. just spent one night at the hotel for a wedding and although the surroundings are lovely the staff were less than helpful. Have just returned from simply the best weekend break my girlfriend and I have ever had. The Hotel is charming and beautiful, just outside Edinburgh but surrounded by lovely gardens, The food was delicious they have a wonderful fine dining style restaurant in the historic tower part of the Hotel and a Steakhouse which we visited on the second night.... more
