Having booked well in advance, one night cost just £19. It was just what you expect from a Travelodge - basic but clean and efficient. Bed was more comfortable than others I have experienced in this 'chain'. Staff were friendly and check-in was smooth and hassle-free. All we wanted was a simple night's rest before using Edinburgh airport the following... More

This is the second time we've stayed at Livingston travelodge. The rooms are basic in terms of things like no fancy toiletries and so on, but we were after clean and comfortable rooms at a cheap price and that is what we got. Both times we've been given large family sized rooms with everything we needed, including a great shower.... More

I tend not to write reviews unless I have an excellent or poor experience and this place is average verging on the poor hence the review. In a time when you have hotels like the excellent "Tune" chain offering accomadation at comparable prices its some what suprising that hotels like this still exist for any reason other than convenience in... Tidy room but well worn down, mattress that should have had government warning on it. Hotel is central to the town which is a lovely place for a day out. Plenty of restaurants just around the corner and over 200 shops indoors to choose from.

If you are considering staying at this hotel just don't do it, you would be as well sleeping in a sleeping bag on the street outside a nightclub! It is ideal if you don't wish to sleep and enjoy listening to rooms getting trashed, if your kids are used to foul language and fighting and violent behaviour throughout the night.... More

Stayed here just after Christmas with my wife and 2 kids.Ideal location approx. 500 yards from McArthur Glen where there is a great choice of shops and eateries. There is also a Cinema complex and 2 eighteen hole crazy golf courses to keep you entertained. The room itself was located right above the Italian restaurant but we never heard any noise. It was... Booked two rooms in December for a couple of days to do some Christmas shopping, as the location is ideal. The rooms were run down and complained every night to the receptionist about the noise and rowdy behaviour of some of the residents in the early hours. Was told there was nothing they could do, we ended up booking another... More

Yes I know you get what you pay for etc. but after driving 75 miles through torrential rain to arrive at the hotel at 17 minutes to 3 o'clock and to be told by the receptionist that "check in isn't until 3" and that she could check us in but it would cost us an extra £10 was as bad... More

Travelodge is perfect for one night, you wouldn't want to stay any longer I wouldn't imagine. We booked a family room for a midweek stay but when we checked into hotel, had to make daughter's bed up myself, sheets and duvet just left in cupboard. Also, the telly was ancient in room we had and never even had a remote... More
