Celebratory break. Very disappointed with hotel. Generally poorly maintained. Bathroom numerous problems. Dated, drab decor.Evening meal not good, breakfast not too bad though. Staff efficient and smiling, Our break is with Shearings holidays, the first time we have used them, don't know if we will use them again if this is the quality of there hotels. Our visit comes to... We booked this through Shearings Self Drive breaks the night before departure and got an excellent value for money three night trip. We booked a superior room and for £89 per person we enjoyed dinner bed and breakfast. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable. Towels were changed daily, there was a plentiful supply of hot water and very pleasant... More

Two x 3 night stay and, although a year apart, the same, excellent care. The entertainment was particularly good, especially on each Saturday night. We enjoyed a singer with a very easy listening voice who also had a good sense of humour. As for the meals, there was a varied choice, everything was served hot and it was very wholesome.... More

Just returned from Braemar. Hotel clean but as to age of building needs very slight upgrade Food was excellent. Good choice and always piping hot. Staff very friendly and willing to give any advice as to local walks and amenities Would definitely recommend it. Difference from night to day as our last experience in Great Yarmouth lest year

Last week I returned from a trip to Invercauld Arms Braemar with Caledonian Travel. It was the 4th trip with them the previous 3 being superb. This was a special trip for my wifes 65th Birthday. No qualms with our bus driver, but this hotel is badly managed, and a disgrace to Scottish hotels. We were given scenic room 58,... More

My wife and I along with her sister went to this hotel through the Shearings Self Drive site. We arrived on Monday the 29th of April and left on Friday 3rd of May, the weather was fine up until Wednesday and didn't improve before we left, with snow forecast for that evening. We visited Ballater, Tomintoul and Grantown on Spey... More

Went as part of Shearing's break in the middle of a blizzard, but kept nice and warm in the main areas. The bedroom was cold but staff quickly supplied a portable heater. The bathroom was small & dark & on the whole in need of an upgrade. Lovely old fashioned bar and restaurant in traditional Scottish decor spoiled slightly by... More

My wife and I travelled to this hotel on a Shearings 5 day break. On arrival we were greeted by very friendly and well informed staff. This is an old hotel but very clean and well maintained.
