We stayed at Cranford for two nights, Sep 22nd and 23rd. Our host Sylvia was warm and welcoming and after getting settled in she helped us choose our restaurant for dinner, made the reservation for us and gave us directions on how to walk there. We loved the atmosphere of the breakfast room which had wonderful windows that filled the... more

I chose this B&B to stay in after the reviews on Tripadvisor and wasnt disappointed. The new owner was very welcoming and gave us advice on the village and where to eat out in the evening, with menus available for us to look at. The room was very clean and the traditional Scottish breakfast lovely, with loads of toast supplied!... more

Guelph Ontario Canada I spent two nights, two days at Cranford Guest House, and having been away from Scotland for fifty one years, and had forgotten about the wonderful hospitality of the Scots, "My Ain Folk" Sheila and Keith are undoutably the very best, and felt very much at home for my pleasant stay. more

We had a great time at Cranford. Keith and Sheila are excellant hosts and they have put a lot of effort into making it the best guest house we have stayed in. Rooms are lovely, very clean with lots of "little touches" to make you feel welcome, especially the Wee Dram all guests receive. I have never known this to... more

We stayed with Sheila and Keith for two nights, wish it could have been more. They did everything they could to make our stay a pleasant one. Their knowledge of the local area is second to none. The guest house must be one of the best in the area, the rooms are bright, well decorated and most importantly very very... more

A very nice guesthouse with ducks, comfortable if small rooms with en-suite facilities.Pleasant location with easy access to Bramar and the Hills. Spoiled completely by a military, patrnonising regimen of rules and regulations Examples being summoning of a collegue with a back injurybecause he was 2 mins past his booking time for breakfast, with refusal to cook it the option. I would not... more

The new owners of this guest house have done an outstanding job. They made us feel at home and had plenty of tips on places to visit in the area. Our room had a view of the mountains. The full Scottish breakfasts were wonderful and the owner, Keith, made us his special potato pancakes. There is a very nice lounge... more
