Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Forest View Guest House. Right off the West Highland Way track and in a quiet area. Lovely rooms and beautifully decorated with a great shower. The hosts were so friendly and helpful, and the breakfast in the morning was fabulous. They also had some snacks and drinks in the fridge to buy and leave change. It was all very thoughtful and we would definitely return again. Thank you.

I've been fortunate enough to stay with Jack & Sarah at the Forest View Guesthouse on several occasions since 2019. It's always been my first choice to stay when passing through Kinlochleven. It always feels like a real home from home and the facilities are first rate. The owners are always friendly and hospitable, offering an experience to guests that many hotels would do well to try and match. It's conveniently located for the town's facilities and a short stagger away from the West Highland Way. I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed if you are lucky enough to book a room at this charming B&B. Thanks again Sarah & Jack for another lovely stay and a good night's rest at Forest View.

Thank you Sarah and Jack for the lovely warm welcome to your beautiful Guesthouse. The cookies were a real treat after a days walking The West Highland Way. Both of our breakfasts were superb and Sarah's porridge will go down as one of the best I've ever eaten and will definitely try to replicate! The pack-up lunch was lovely too and kept us going throughout the day. Would definitely recommend to anyone, especially if walking as its right on the WHW path. We loved it thank you very much.

Perfect stay along the West Highland Way! Easy walk to restaurants...and right on the trail. Room was comfortable and the shower was perfection. The hosts are the best. Warm cookies upon check in, great packed lunch...and honestly, the best tasting breakfast of our whole trip. They take the care to make sure things are fresh. Definitely recommend!

Oh my, this was indeed a sanctuary right at he end of our West Highland Way Walk from Glencoe to Kinlochleven - there it was waiting to greet us as we finished… exceptional in every way, nothing to much for Jack who was there to greet us, with home made cookies, we were sorry to miss Sarah his partner who was away at the time of our stay. Modern large attic room felt like a small apartment - very light and spotlessly clean. Beautiful en suite modern bathroom supplied with fresh towels and toiletries, TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Morning breakfast was wonderful this set us up for the next leg of our walk. Jack was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Set in a quiet location with breathtaking scenery and the village of Kinlochleven is just idyllic. Would 100% recommend this Guest House, you will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back - can’t wait.. Thank you Jack and Sarah and good luck with your wonderful little haven. Two night stop on our way along the WHW. As you drop down into Kinlochleven passed the hydro power station and over the bridge you see the sign to Forest View. Lovely welcome on arrival by the hosts with freshly baked cookies. Our room, with a very welcome mini bar, and communal areas were spotless and welcoming. Breakfast was amazing. Our friend had the full cooked option and we had the overnight oats both mornings. So good!! Jack was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area with lots of suggestions of walks should we have needed them, as well as recommendations for eating out etc. Would highly recommend.
