We really liked the Corran. The room was very clean and fresh and lovely and quiet at night. The owners were very friendly and were happy to chat to us at breakfast. Well worth staying here. more

This is a great B&B if your thinking of hitting the Fire Tower MTB Trail, the location is perfect with fantastic views out to Loch Gilp and 2 secs from the Crinan canal. Couldn,t have wished for a better host especially as we arrived a bit mucked up after a days biking. The Green room was very spacious, spotless &... more

We stayed at the Corran en route to Islay / Jura via ferry. An excellent stop just 30 mins from the ferry terminal. We stayed in one of the cottages at the back of the house. I would recommed this for families, v.flexible if you have kids (T.V. with DVD player) and kitchen (if you need to prepare supper). Heather... more

We were looking for a gorgeous getaway and we certainly found it at The Corran. We were made to feel very welcome on our arrival by the owners Heather & Bruce. They gave us great advice on things to do in the area and boy what a breakfast, set us up until tea time, (best fresh fruit salad we have... more

I rarely write reviews on this forum but, since I'm increasingly using it for information myself, I thought that I ought at least "put in a word" for the Corran. I have stayed there on several occasions, at all times of the year, and have always found it to be a most exemplary establishment. A lovely victorian house with a... more

We arrived to "The Corran" with expectations of a nice, friendly and pleasant stay. Neither of these were fulfilled : The landlady "welcomed" us with a cold, hostile approach as if she was not interested in having guests. She described herself as a bossy person, which she indeed was. The "cottage" we have stayed in was charmless, though functional. The... more

Goodness me, what a terrible review. I will have to pull my socks up. If the guests would like to contact me in person, I will gladly refund them their money. A rather humbled Heather Leighton

This was lovely - a great B&B and a warm welcome. The room was lovely and the view amazing. Small touches such as bottled water and a corkscrew really made it. Heather and Bruce were lovely people and happy to chat. Breakfast was very good too. And all this for a fantastic price which put the larger hotels we stayed... more

I would thoroughly recommend this B & B in a lovely 19th Century House right by Loch Gilp. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped, breakfast excellent and the owners extremely welcoming. An all round goodie! more
