What a fantastic break we had - made extra special by the hosts; Rosemary, Chris and not forgetting dear Archie of course. The bedroom, ensuite and relaxing areas were spacious and extremely comfortable and complimented by tastelful furnishings and decor. We were welcomed by Rosemary sporting a warm Highland smile, a pot of tea for two and an assortment of... more
Hi, Lichen Burn was a beautiful retreat for our honeymoon (sorry Rosemary we should have said!! haha) and my wifes birthday! And Rosemary was the perfect host! She made my wife poached eggs on request which were spot on by all accounts and my 'full scottish' was great on all occasions! She even gaves us a bottle of bubbly to... more

Our room was furnished beautifully with an en-suite bathroom 'Total Luxury' Only twelve miles from Oban the surrounding area is scenic together... more
We have recently returned from a family holiday to Scotland. My husband, myself and our 3 children, aged 9,6 and 4 were warmly received by Mrs Todhunter at Lichen Burn. The children were delighted with their very comfortable twin bedded room and fought over who was to sleep on the put you up. The kingsize bed in our room was... more
My husband and I stayed at Lichen Burn during the Easter holidays and both agreed that it was one of the best places we've stayed in the UK. The accomodation itself is superb - a new build house, which has a wonderful clean and fresh feel to it. It was a pleasure to find bed and breakfast accomodation that has... more
Lichen Burn offers space, peace and a warm welcome to weary travellers. It is an ideal place to recharge the batteries and to lose yourself in the beauty of Argyll. The bedrooms are both large with large en-suites and have uninterupted views of the burn rushing down the Glen. Comfort is a priority of the owners and their friendliness and... more
