Great position everything else shocking. black mould growing round the windows, wallpaper hanging off the wall. Poor quality pub food and had to wait an age to get it. More

Fabulous location with plenty of walks on the doorstep and stunning sea views from our room under the clock tower. The room was comfortable and quiet. The hotel was friendly, served good typical pub food and was obviously the hub of the community. We would definately stay here again as it offered good value for money and they didn't charge... More

I stayed in this hotel for three nights in June for a wedding, hosted by the hotel. It was a pleasure to stay in from the moment we arrived. The rooms were very comfortable, the food plentiful and the owners - laid back, fun and lovely. It is the opposite of plastic corporate hotels (but it runs as smoothly) with... More

My wife and myself and two other friends sailed here from further up the River Clyde on two yachts and went ashore intending to anchor for the night , have a couple of drinks and a meal in the hotel, sleep on board the boats and return home the next day. We were served with drinks and given menus but... More

This is an update on a review I wrote a few years ago. The hotel is rather battered round the edges, but if you accept that, the location is just the best. The owner is friendly without being effusive. The food is standard bar meals but the locals and visitors use the place, so there is a nice atmosphere. Don't... More

Lovely views out from the bay. The owners were very welcoming. After touring Scotland, I would be be hard pressed to find a wider selection on the menu and food was great. Couldn't fault anything. More

The Hotel is beautiful, the views are amazing and the location is perfect if you want to escape from civilization for a couple of days. We chose St Blane´s Hotel because it looked nice in the website however we made an AWFUL MSTAKE: - Awful hosts not willing to look after visitors - Awful manners; one of the owners drinks... More

Me and several of my biz colleagues were staying coovertly in this hotel. What a fine wee hotel this is. Staff were very attentive and breakfast was buffet style with several hidden extras. We had excellent facilities in the rooms with tea and coffees all again with extras. The single rooms were big enough for two adult guys and the... More

It's unfortunate that this type of genuine Scottish guesthouse is chosen by those used to packaged holidays in Turkey and Spain with modern custome-built facilities. They choose such as St Blanes obviously because it's cheap...and compared with similar in Britain and in the mediterrainean it IS cheap. These folk are then disappointed when the accommodation doesn't live up to their... More
