My partner died in august and as we were monthly visitors to Glenburn I felt unable to go till now.I should have known it would be ok.Given a table discreetly placed at back of dining room and never passed by a staff member without a wee word or two.I felt better than I have felt for months and Pete (host)... more

It was maybe not the best time to go, in early winter but the rain did not detere us from walking around the centre of Rothesay and looking at the little quaint wee shops. Our friend husband and my husband both golf... more

Just got back from 5 days away with Shearings to Rothesay the Isle of Bute. A thoroughly enjoyable stay. The Glenburn Hotel is well over 100 years old and has been very grand in its hay day and while the decor could definitely do with an update this didnt detract from our enjoyment. It was clean and the rooms were... more

Agree 100% with last three reviews plus £15 Bar limit on 'All Inclusive'. Mind you it would take you all night to get that with huge queues and one drink at a time served. Hotel more like a prison camp - got shouted at for daring to ask for Yoghurt as well as Fruit Juice for Breakfast! Entertainment pathetic unless... more

All frozen and saw it being delivered at the back of the hotel which can only be described as scruffy. Lounge area seats dirty and some of them... more
