We really enjoyed our stay at Woodvale B&B. Our room was newly decorated & spotless. Alison was very welcoming & informative about the local area. The B&B is only a 5 minute walk from the train station so was very convenient for us. Lovely cooked breakfast in the morning, wish we could have stayed longer than our one night! more

This is a wonderful, warm bed and breakfast in a beautiful part of Scotland. We stayed here with our parents (in their 70's and 80's) and enjoyed it so much we changed our plans to allow us to return here before leaving Scotland. Allison made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived with her cheerful good humour. Our rooms... more

Only stayed one night but would stay longer if in the area as it was well located. Allison was very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was excellent. Rooms spacious with tea/coffee facilities, hairdryer, showergel/shampoo and comfortable beds. She did not provide evening meals but there were many restaurants on the same road and the dining room was available if... more

My wife, mother in law and I were made to feel very welcome by our host Alison from the moment we arrived. Ample driveway parking infront of this very well appointed bungalow. The rooms were very spacious and that included our bathroom. All rooms were very clean and tidy and well decorated. The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice... more

This was the best B&B that we stayed at in Scotland. Alison was very friendly and helpful. It was really nice to have a very comfortable bed after a long trip. Our room was great. Our daughter was up stairs in a twin room with the ensuite separate and downstairs, but still for her use only. Breakfast was YUM. more

I've stayed there for three nights with my boyfriend and we were delighted! Everything was perfect! The bed and breakfast is easy to find, well located, really clean, the breakfast delicious (and if you don't like something, the landlord will suggest plenty of other things to replace it in the second!), the landlord was absolutely perfect: always there to give... more

I stayed with my girlfriend for 2 nights in this B&B, and it was very nice. Nice location close to trainstation and bus stop, close to nature, the lake, Bens... Allison makes you feel like home, helps with all kind of questions you have, her husband even took us for rides to see nice spots of nature and to the... more

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this b and b. Our room was comfortable fresh and clean and we were made to feel very much at home! All facilities that we required were available and our breakfast was second to none! (We love the mushrooms by the way!). Our stay was enhanced by our very welcoming host,... more

Me, my husband and 11yr old son booked this over the phone and Alison was very helpful, considering it was at such short notice. Though we did have some confusion when looking at the website which appears to be the same or very similar to the Gowanlea website which is located across the road from the Woodvale. Room was in... more

Thanks to the McCues for their review. I do appreciate feedback of this kind. Sorry you felt you had to stoop while in the room all weekend. It l has plenty of room to move around in though which I'm sure you would agree. As for room facilities may I let future guests know that our family room has tea/coffee/biscuits...
