Hotel building is lovely, and staff are nice but they appear to be overworked as overall service was slow and really not up to scratch. Bedroom was basic, but had opaque glass in window so you couldn't see out at all; bathroom was dated, had no heating whatsoever, and tho old single glazed windows were painted shut so not ventilation... more

We were booked into the hotel by business associates and stayed in the honeymoon suite. We stayed in the hotel for 1 night and did not arrive until early evening and didn't eat in the hotel or use the facilities so can only really comment on the room and breakfast. The hotel is tired and in need of refurbishment but we enjoyed our 2night stay and would return in the future. The bedrooms are tired and could do with a bit more care in the way they are cleaned (dusty ledges etc) but the bed was comfortable and clean and the bathtowels etc changed daily.
