We stayed at Green Shadows on the first night of our West Highland Way walk. After having walked 12 miles from Milngavie, it was so good to get picked up by Gail from the village of Drymen. Great location and great views from our room. Gail the owner of Green Shadows is a really friendly host and gave us some... More

When we arrived in August 12 my husband nearly didn't come in when he realised it was someone's home that we were staying in. The lady was the only one there are has grown up children so very quiet. It had an attractive downstairs lounge. We are used to 4*'s. we stayed just one night but wished we had more. Excellent... More

After a tough first day on the West Highland Way in the rain and mis-reading my map when trying to find this B&B, I finally arrived like a wet dog with a "bag bigger than me" at Green Shadows. Gail quickly got me into my room, waited for me to shower, and then whisked me off to town to catch... More

This is a plush B&B set just oustside Drymen with good access to the West Highland Way for Walkers and near the delights of the Lochs for those with a car. The host is very friendly and has great advice on local places to eat and things to do (we followed her advice a number of times and were never... More

We arrived in Drymen after the first leg of the WHW, Gail came to collect us from the village green. We were impressed by the accommodation provided, in a lovely location, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Gail's friendliness and local knowledge were second to none, she suggested somewhere for us to eat and even provided a taxi service to and from... More

We were a party of four adults and this was the first night's stop on the WHW. The location of Green Shadows is some distance from the centre of Drymen but in the most beautiful setting and our room had elevated views over the golf course and the hills beyond. Gail was an excellent host, helpful and informative, which was... More

Beautiful, quiet, cozy, and relaxing. Gail was a wonderful hostess and a great cook. Can't imagine spending our first night on the WHW any other way.

Green Shadows is a bright and clean B and B run by the friendly landlady Gail. Gail went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. Her house is in a beautiful position with lovely views. It is some way out from town though so you will need transport to reach your evening meal. I would recoomend a stay... More
