We stayed here in early January and athough the weather for the journey was awful the welcome at Lochearn House was warm. On arrival we were given tea and homemade pineapple cake(delicious!) and asked to choose our evening meal. The acccommodation was excellent with a generous sized room incorporating a large ensuite and very comfortable bed. The B&B has been... More

We arrived wet and cold from cycling: lovely bathrooom, nicely appointed bedroom and after a hot shower, Matthew brought up some carrot cake to go with the tea! We had a good 3- course dinner in the house; perhaps my only quibble was that the cost of £25 per head seemed a little steep - but this was clear in... More

We had a fabulous stay with Matthew and Dianne. Their B&B is first class – spacious, clean and warm. The welcome is really warm and welcoming. The food is spectacularly good – cooked breakfast was full of flavour and prepared perfectly. The dinners were really great – very tasty local food, beautifully cooked and served attentively and professionally. We stayed... More

Dead tired after the overnight flight from the US to London, followed by a connector to Edinburgh, there was no better way to begin my three week visit to Scotland than to be greeted by Matthew and Dianne's warm hospitality, after a fairly easy hour and a half drive to their well located B&B. Everything is just right here. The... More

Matthew and Diane were such wonderful hosts.. We felt so welcome and had such a great stay.. The room was very roomy, including a desk, two comfortable chairs and a king size bed.. Bathroom facilities were excellent as well.. The only bad thing about staying here, is that it made the 3 B&B's we went to afterwards look horrible in... More

Thanks to Matthew for being such a star, baking a birthday cake for my daughter's birthday at very short notice. Not only was the cake delicious, but he put candles on it and sang happy birthday at breakfast. We really enjoyed staying at Lochearn Guest House - a real gem of a place! More

We stayed here on our Honeymoon part II adventure late last year. I was looking for somewhere to stay in the area, and was impressed by the reviews. Then I looked at their website and saw a really good deal, if you stayed for 2 nights and had dinner both nights. I emailed and got very quick and friendly responses... More

We stayed for 3 nights with Matthew and took advantage of the dinner, bed&breakfast option. It was brilliant. You get a 4* hotel stay for a B&B price. We wanted to stay in Lochearnhead to explore the area on our motorbikes and we loved it. The rooms are very spacious and ours had a separate dressing area which is especially... More

A really friendly greeting set the scene for a very enjoyable stay. Food was amazing. Room very thoughtfully furnished. A short walk to a couple of bars otherwise very quiet. More

Brilliant - all the style, luxury and cuisine of a top class hotel behind a B&B facade and at B&B prices. Great to find a real full sized bathroom and BIG shower (where you usually find just a sliver of room off the bedroom). Add to this a really warm friendly welcome. We'll be back More
