This hotel is so nice, its comfortable, clean and quiet. We had amazing views from room 1 over Loch earn. The staff are great and go out of their way to help you, especially Monica who is a wee gem. The hotel is not disabled friendly as there is steps into the hotel and all the bedrooms are upstairs. If... more

My sister and I stayed at this hotel in October 2009 - we were really pleased with the location, our room had wonderful views and was very clean and comfortable. The food was great and, we felt, good value for money. We both agreed that we would be more than happy to return - friendly and efficient staff. A great... more

We stayed one night in the Clachan Cottage Hotel in a superior room which seems to have been recently reburbished. The view from the window over the road to the loch was very nice, but overall we were disspointed. The hotel felt more like a back packers than a hotel, was pretty quiet even though it was late August and... more

We visited the hotel as part of a large group and found the staff to be attentive and helpful. Both dinner and breakfast were served in the main restaurant and the quality and portion size of the food provided good value for money. The hotel is situated on the north shores of Loch Earn and whilst the exterior of the... more

Room had lovely view, unfortunately the interior left a lot to be desired. Curtains fell off wall when drawn. The dining room was out of bounds for dinner, and we found this rather irritating, if you pay for DBB then you hardly expect to sit in a bar for dinner. Waiting service for dinner left a lot to be desired.... more

We stopped here for lunch and a pint only to find that the kitchen closed at 3pm and it was 3 minutes past! Any food? No, none! Sandwich? No. Snack? No. None. The explanation was that "the chef needs a break". My comment to the young barman that it doesn't need a chef to prepare snacks was met with attitude... more

The sign outside of our establishment clearly states that from mid September mid week our kitchen is open from 12-3pm and from 5pm until 9.30pm. Why a customer should aggressively demand that we open the kitchen between these hours is difficult to understand. Perhaps he is not aware of the significant hygiene controls and training records demanded in today’s kitchens...

We had a lovely stay at this Hotel and have already recommended it to friends. We were made to feel very welcome and the food was excellent. The room was lovely and clean with a great view over the Loch. Bed was really fresh and comfortable. This has been our third stay at this Hotel and would love to return... more

On an impromptu trip to the west coast we came across this fantastic find. Rooms, service and catering were more than we could have hoped for. Close proximity to endless walks and 100m from the watersports centre meant we ended up staying two nights rather than just the one! To get the most of your money make use of the... more

Fabulous view over the loch from our room, which, although quite basic, was spacious and clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were top notch. We stayed twice at this hotel in June and hope to do so again in the future. Don't be put off by some of the negative reviews - some people are never... more

Paid for superior room, and was so shocked to find thread bearing carpets, chipped paint, walls were so thin i could hear next door people urinating and could hear their conversation.Bathroom was minging and the shower was rubber tubing on bath taps that you had to hold.Old urine around toilet, but having got that out the way, food was very good, and bar staff... more
