Booked the hotel as a last minute break and was not disappointed. The Hotel was actually recommended by a colleague who went on a number of occasions. The rooms were tidy and had everything you wanted. Some of the décor was a bit older; however this was what we expected staying in the old part of the castle. Leisure facilities... more

Stayed in the main hotel for two nights on a business trip. The staff I dealt with were always friendly. Ate in the hotel both days - breakfast was good/evening meal was so so, but waiting staff were very pleasant. My room had a 4 poster and flat screen TV but generally it was a bit dated. The worse thing... more

We had 2 lodges booked, Lapwing bungalow & Osprey lodge. Accommodation was spotlessly clean, spacious & very welcominng. The Leisure Centre was fab with pool, jacuzzi, sauna & steam room only complaint was the pool was very cold. The kids entertainment area was good although as we were only there for 2nights everything was an additional cost. The area/walks are... more

We have just returned from a 1 week break at the Drimsynie Estate, also known as the LochGoilHead holiday park. The centre offers different accommodation choices ranging from rooms in the on site hotel to self catering lodges & caravans. We opted to stay in the “kingfisher B” caravan and were extremely impressed. Other reviews have commented on the lodges... more

Drimsynie can't be beaten for views, things to do, and accommodation. The staff are friendly and very efficient. The Green Room staff, service and food are first class BUT the one thing that lets it down is the standard of food in the Leisure Centre. They'd be really stuck of the microwave broke! Also - some of the public areas... more

We stayed in a lodge, Eagle 14. It enjoys a fantastic and semi-private location with views over the loch. This was a great positive aspect of the week and in general the accommodation was comfortable and functional. However, given the tariff charged for the season and the 5 star rating attracted, the following matters are disappointing when compared with competitors... more

This is my second time at the Drim. First visit in February 2009 was for my best mate's birthday. We had an absolute blast! Room in the newly refurbished area of the hotel under the carpet bowls area with a window with a view that was simply breathtaking! It was spotless and the housekeeping staff were meticulous. They're was a... more

Loch Goil is by far my favourite Scottish Loch, though I’m not sure I would recommend staying at the Drymsynie Leisure park as the best way of seeing it – at least not for everyone. We stayed in an Osprey chalet, which was well designed and spacious for four people with excellent refurbished bathrooms. However the chalet was clearly built... more

We stayed in the hotel, in the original building which was beautiful. Lovely room and staff and plenty to do on the estate without having to travel too far afield. Facilities were great and area was lovely. Slightly in the middle of nowhere, around 1 hours drive to Dunoon. The weather probably made it better because it was so sunny,... more

we were based in a lodge by the burn - Lapwing 11 a great site as the weather was excellent and the kids enjoyed paddling in it; how it is when in spate; it must be a worry for parents at these times; the leisure facilities are pretty good with what, I believe new facilities for swimming; i.e. changing rooms... more
