Having stayed at Rowardennan on previous occassion's and enjoyed our stay under the management of David Couper. However, since the new ownership of the Allison family I would definitely not give The Rowardennan Hotel any ratings purely on the basis that it is not deserving of any! My family and I spent Christmas 2011 (Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and departed... More

To the poster of “HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE SHAMBOLIC... “(February 7, 2012) It is with great concern that I reply to the comments from the mentioned review on this website. Unfortunately this is a classic example of taking a tool used by many people to honestly rate establishments like our hotel and abusing the... More

We stayed here betwixt Xmas and New Year for my partners birthday. Great value for money, friendly and helpful stuff, clean and modern room. All very chilled out and the bar food was great too - massive portions well deserved after hiking Ben Lomond. It's very dog friendly too and although we don't have a dog I would recommend it... More

Went to the Rowardennan Hotel for a two night Hogmannay party break and probably made the worst decision of my life going here. I can only describe this break as absolutely shocking, a hotel run by amateurs. Dont get me wrong the hotel was clean and comfortable enough but everything else could only be described as calamatous, shambolic and disastrous... More

The hotel is amazing and sits on the bank of Loch Lomond with the forest just on the other side. The rooms are very modern with LCD TV's, large comfy beds and really nice bathrooms with great power showers. The staff from our arrival to checking out were so friendly, polite and helpful. The food in the bar and breakfast... More

We had a very small wedding in Glasgow and decided, rather than spend a fortune on travelling abroad somewhere, that immediately after it we'd just get out of the city for a few days and relax. The Rowardennan certainly allowed us to do just that. Not terribly easy to get to without a car (our trip - which I planned,... More
