This hotel is in a beautiful spot, overlooking Loch Lomond. Unfortunately, the room was a great disappointment. Room 216 is a single room, which is small, shabby, has cracks in the ceiling and stains on the carpet. It needs to be completely refurbished. The bed was worn out and uncomfortable. Several guests, including myself, had to complain that there was... more

The food was ok, and the entertainment middle of the road. The compere worked very hard. We had a restricted free bar which saved money, but then again we are not big drinkers. However :- if you are travelling as a doulbe don't use room 124. it's too small and should only be used as a single, also the bathroom... more

But then you get to your room, filthy, our room 218 was filthy. The curtains in the bathroom were black with mould, (see photo). The... more

Stayed at this hotel from 23 Feb 2009 for 4 nights. On first impression the hotel looked good but once you get inside its down bank all the way. The first thing that greets you is the smell of damp. Check in was very good and quick. The best thing was that we did not have to handle our bags... more

The hotel was very basic, but staff were helpful and pleasant at all times. Warm welcome was received and quick service in the restaurant. The food wasnt exactly the best, mostly basic, so we ate out on the second night, just for a change. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Some areas do need the decor updated and the tempramental shower... more
