We arrived here after a very hard and long day and although we were in good spirits the woman that runs this place was clearly having a very angry day and made us feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. She was also rude when we enquired about packed lunches and breakfast in the morning. The Wigwam itself was very cold, the... more

We visited Beinglas Campsite whilst walking the WHW last year, the facilities and the staff were excellent. We were very impressed. On our return visit this year the facilities remained great, the staff/management and food from the bar/restaurant however were TERRIBLE!! All staff that we encountered were unhelpful, rude and generally unpleasant. The food was appalling - in particular the... more

After a disappointing experience with the Drovers Inn this place cheered me up. They have various options to meet every budget. If you want comfort they have 8 wooden chalets that provide a comfortable bed and your own shower. The room was clean and well maintained, but was very hot as the radiators were switched on when we arrived. I... more

Another cheap and cheerful stop on the West Highland Way. Four guys in a wigwam was a bit cramped, but a good laugh, after trekking from Balmaha (wish we'd got a chalet though). A variety of good clean facilities topped off by a good bar and a more than decent restaurant. Communication with staff was difficult at times, however I'm... more

Beinglas farm is a welcome sight after a tough day walking the West Highland Way. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a wigwam which was clean, cosy, comfortable and surprisingly spacious. We also had dinner and breakfast there. Both were very good. Showers were clean but only 2 ladies showers so be prepared to queue at busy times.... more

We booked Bed and Breakfast in the new chalets at Beinglas and found them very comfortable with ensuite shower rooms. we could sit outside on a veranda, midges permitting! Opposite us was the check in, bar and restaurant. There was also a shop selling food and usual camping supplies. The hired staff were ok but not over helpful. We had a... more

We arrived at Beinglas Farm after a long, long, long wet day.........and what a pleasant surprise. We got our wigwam for two (we aquired a 4 person one for the same price as a two person) straight away. Loads of room!!!!!! Showers were a god send. Clean and operational. The pub/resturant was great but the biggest ACE in the crown... more

As a couple whom were mainly staying in B&B's and hostels during their trip, it's hard to compare Beinglas, and especially staying in a wigwam. On the plus side, we hired out a wigwam for 2 at a reasonable rate. The wigwam itself was clean with lighting, and basic heating (one tip - bring ear plugs if a light sleeper,... more

We stayed in the B&B whilst doing the West Highland Way. The rooms were extremely comfortable, very clean and well kitted out. It was a welcome retreat after a difficult day's walking. The dinner on offer in the bar was tasty - we had curry. Some minor quibbles: The breakfast was disappointing - not very walker friendly. The options all... more

We stayed in one of the wigwams on the campsite on the 2nd night of the West Highland Way. It was the perfect stop, right on the route of the walk so no extra walking (as there is to the famous drovers inn which is up a road to the side) the food in the pub was fantastic and the... more
