Ignore the negative review, Strathfillan House offers an exceptionally warm welcome - we were offered a chance to get our wet coats dried, a lift into Tyndrum, and all the info and friendly chats we needed. Just a few minutes detour off the West Highland Way, this was the most charming stop-over of our trip. The house, including a beautiful... More

We stayed here while walking the West Highland Way. Jim and Diane got it all right! Our room was spacious and immaculate, the bathroom was well appointed and we had nice long hot showers. Breakfast was delicious, and in general everything was grand. We rate this the best place we stayed on the entire walk - and also the best... More

My Husband and I were walking the West Highland Way over 7 days in May. It was day four and we arrived looking like 'drooked rats' to a very warm welcome by Diane. As the B&B was 2 miles short of Tyndrum, we decided to walk on to Tyndrum and originally thought of walking back, when Diane kindly offered her... More

We were a party of three walking the West Highland Way over 7 days. On Day 4 we walked from Inveraman to Tyndrum and it rained all day. By the time we got to Strafillan House we were soaked almost to the skin. Diane met us and very kindly took all our wet clothes and boots and dried them overnight.... More

The owners of this Bed and breakfast could not have been nicer. They picked us up and dropped us off at Tyndrum to save us walking the mile to the B+B. Our bags, that we were having transported, were sitting waiting for us in our room when we arrived which was the nicest touch. The room was clean and well... More

Had a 2 night stay in the large double room and could not fault it. Great breakfast and the eggs from their own hens were laid that morning. Found it to be a peacefull and comfortable after our day on the hills. Hope to be back soon More

This place does exactly what it says on the tin - you get a bed and you get breakfast. What you don't get is a particularly warm welcome. It might be because the owners have had a busy year, or that they don't really like having people staying in their home - but of all the places we stayed on... More

A lovely old Manse house, close to the West Highland Way, very large ensuite bedroom, comfortable bed and furnishings. Excellent breakfast, homemade jams and marmalades, eggs from their own hens. Very good night's sleep, great shower, good toiletries provided. Very friendly family atmosphere, extremely helpful when booking, would happily recommend Strathfillan House to anyone travelling the West Highland Way or... More

Lovely big double room, fantastic shower in en-suite, great hospitality much appreciated on a chilly, wet July night! Fabulous Scottish breakfast. WIFI appreciated. Bridge of Orchy Hotel worth a visit for dinner - beautiful views, good food. We'll be back for the car's 25th birthday, if not before! Beth & Keith More
