We have been visiting the Fernhill for years, 2-3 times a year, and find it pretty well perfect. Spent a very pleasant two days at this hotel. First the down side... Room and especially bathroom a bit dated and tired, bathroom could have been cleaner! horrendous noises when anyone flushed a loo or put the bathroom light on which brought the ventilator fans on, we could hear neighbours fans, so they must have been able to hear ours....
